Biografía:
Anderson Silva nació el 4 de abril de 1975 en Brasil. Es un luchador profesional de artes marciales mixtas y actual campeón de los pesos medios en la UFC, compañía en la que compite actualmente. Tambien ha competido en otras organizaciones como la ya desaparecida PRIDE fighting championship y la Shooto de Japón. Silva ha obtenido importantes victorias en la UFC ante luchadores de la talla de Dan Henderson, Forrest Griffin o Rich Franklin.

En el UFC 117, Silva estuvo muy cerca de perder su cinturón ante Chael Sonnen, pero una sumisión a pocos minutos del final salvó un combate que el brasileño hubiera perdido con toda seguridad si hubiera llegado a la decisión de los jueces.
